One critical environmental issue regarding sport technology is the transformation of most equipment from wood to composite materials. wood implements that were not durable threatened our natural resources. Good wood for golf clubs, tennis rackets, baseball bats have been increasingly hard to find and because these wooden implements break so frequently many more implements needed to be produced. From this perspective, composite technology preserved many trees.
