As founder and President of Get Charged®, Dr. J. Nadine Gelberg applies her expertise in the areas of sport technology policy, corporate sponsorship strategies, consumer sports and entertainment trends, and the societal impact of technology. Dr. Gelberg launched Get Charged® in 2002 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to encouraging critical thought on technology and society issues, with an emphasis on sport technology. Get Charged® is the culmination of more than 15 years of professional and academic experience in analyzing, publishing, and speaking on sport technology policy, the role of sport in society, and how we can encourage participation while protecting the core challenge and tradition of sports.

Dr. Gelberg began her career as a Professor of Technology at Rochester Institute of Technology. Recognized as a leading expert in the area of sport technology, Dr. Gelberg has shared her research and findings as an invited speaker at the International Sport Summit, the International Olympic Committee, the NCAA Corporate Partners Meeting, and a number of other sports and entertainment conferences. Her love for sports and technology led Dr. Gelberg to combine her undergraduate studies at Cornell University in technology's impact on society with sports studies and sponsorship strategies. She received her doctorate in kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, with a master's thesis on the development of football helmet standards and a dissertation on controversial technology policy focusing specifically on golf and tennis.

The author of numerous articles and texts, Dr. Gelberg is frequently cited in major publications for her opinion on a number of sports and technology issues. Throughout her career, Dr. Gelberg's expertise has kept her talents in demand, and in the late 1990s Dr. Gerlberg was recruited to develop and lead the Sports and Entertainment Practice at Harris Interactive, where she leveraged information on consumer trends to help clients succeed in the sports and entertainment landscape. She managed the brand development strategy and was responsible for leading the sales and marketing effort and product development.
